On Thursday 5th July, four schools took part in the annual inter-schools Year 7 & 8 County Final, hosted by the Totton & Eling Tennis Centre in association with Hampshire & Isle of Wight LTA.
The event involved 16 children playing competitive but fun singles and doubles matches. The number of teams was not as high as in previous years due to a clash with another event, however, the schools that were able to participate played with skill, enthusiasm and great sportsmanship.
The event was eventually won by Hounsdown School, who coming from the New Forest Partnership, made the most of their "home advantage"! Congratulations to Jack Ison, Ben Gannaway, Adele Nethercott & Darcy New.
Well done also to the other participant schools - Bitterne Park, Perins and Oaklands.
