For the second year Lymington Tennis Club organised a charity ladies doubles event in aid of Oakhaven hospice and the event saw 7 pairs compete on a rare sunny day in the New Forest. The club also set up a raffle which raised over £100 for the Oakhaven Trust.
The tournament played host to some fantastic tennis with Brockenhurst pair Lucinda Dowson and Susannah Mclean coming out as the winning pair. The key match for the winners was against Lymington’s mum and daughter pair of Toni and Hattie Cox which the Brock ladies won 7-6, in a tense tie break.
Some very close matches took place with only 1 win splitting the winners and second place pair of Lindy Morgan and Margi Stevenson who play at the Chewton Glen and Lymington.
Tournament organiser and Club Coach Adam Falla was delighted with the turn out and standard of the event “It was a big success and is amazing to see the event continue to thrive in it's second year and the tennis keeps improving which is great to see as a coach. I look forward to another great event this time next year.”
