The coaching team are delivering a LTA Tennis Leaders Course at David Lloyd Southampton on Sunday 11th January 2015. This course is designed for anyone 13 years and over and encourages volunteers in tennis to assist coaches, referees or club officials. The purpose of the course is to provide some basic training around communication and organisation within tennis coaching.
In early August this year, Chris Hughes, Head Coach of Littleton Tennis Club, Winchester, embarked on the biggest challenge of his life to date.
On Sunday, 7th November Southsea Tennis Club officially opened their 2 new tennis courts which the Club has had resurfaced from Club funds and a successful application to Sport England.
Winchester Over 70s Men achieved a first, by winning the National Inter Club final, by beating Exmouth at David Lloyd Dudley Tennis Centre on Friday 21st November.
After almost 3 years undefeated, we finally lost to our main adversaries Surrey, in the National final at Dudley, by a close 3 rubbers to 2.
The Hampshire & IOW Ladies Senior Team were contesting in Group 3b in Wrexham. The other counties in the group were: Cheshire, Northumberland and Essex.
