Southsea Tennis Club opens new courts and hands over a cheque for £4,000 to a local charity

On Sunday, 7th November Southsea Tennis Club officially opened their 2 new tennis courts which the Club has had resurfaced from Club funds and a successful application to Sport England. The courts will help more people play tennis and continue to raise the profile of the venue as a community hub.

Southsea Tennis Club also handed over a cheque for £4,000 (including Gift Aid contributions) to Sam’s Haven which will enable the charity to purchase a ramp for wheelchair access to the caravan which is used by the families with very sick children.

“Congratulations to everyone involved at the Club, the progress in the past 18 months has been significant with 60 new members, a busy pay & play programme, coaching programme and café” Andy Trott, South West LTA Education Officer.
