Langley Tennis Club won the 12&U Chiltern League for 2013/14 at the weekend when the semi-finals and final were played at Gosling Sports Park.
In the two semi-finals Langley beat Letchworth 6-0 and Halton beat Harpenden by the same score. In the final the Langley team of George Carter, Reece Farrow, Natalya Ogunwale and Rebecca Ahearne-Smith were too strong for the Halton junior and the score was again 6-0 to Langley.
The 3rd/4th play-off was a closely contested match with the score at 3-3 after the 6 rubbers had been played, but Letchworth were the eventual winners by 30 games to 22.
