Over winter, Leicestershire has competed in the 12 Counties tournament held at Corby Tennis Centre, and after 5 days of play have come out the victors of Division 2B.
The event encompasses all age groups from 10U right up to 18U, with each age group playing on a different day. The opposition were teams from Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire. Points are awarded on each day - 4 for 1st place down to 1 for 4th place (boys and girls events are scored separately) and over the whole competition Leicestershire scored
31 1/2 points.
Next year, we move back into Division 1.
