The courts were full from 4pm till 9pm with people having to wait for space to play.
The trend continued all week with all the usual play and coaching sessions extra busy. New memberships have been coming in all week too. This year will now see yet another increase in the size of the club.
Friday night saw a record turn out for the Connie Bark Memorial Trophy. 32 players from 12 to 60+ year olds competed in an American Doubles format. Players and spectators enjoyed a beautiful summers evening with tennis and BBQ. Over 50 people were at the club during the evening. Ladies winner was Jessica Jackson (Grandaughter of Connie Bark) Ben Martin and Steve Holmes were joint mens winners. Almost £250 was raised for club funds.
The Saturday morning open junior sessions saw a 38% increase in attendance.

The teams have played 4 matches this week. The first mixed team played Heckington and won 7-2 Matthew Dalton and Jane Clark won all 3 of their rubbers as did Ben Martin and Jessica Jackson. Paul Bargh and Jessica Nugent won one. The second mixed team traveled to Spalding. Steve Holmes and Eddie Jackson won 2 rubbers and Neil Lee and Jane Reeds won 1. Simon Barber and Julie Hillsmith didn't manage any wins so 6-3 to Spalding.
The ladies second team played Woodhall Spa 2 in the heat on Saturday afternoon. It proved to be a very long match with Karen Stott and Di Jones playing 4 tie breaks in all but only managing to win one rubber. Sally Speed and Jane Reeds also had long close games and won one rubber. Yvonne Thomas and Caroline Hill didn't manage a win so 7-2 to Woodhall Spa.
On Sunday the mens team played Boston 5. Matt Dalton and Ben Martin won 2 rubbers, Dan Dalton and Steve Holmes won 1, Richard Clark and Matt Needs didn't win any this week so 6-3 to Boston.
