New this year, Lincolnshire's Grade 3 Clay Court Championships to be held at Boston Tennis Club 4 - 10 August.

Singles events for Ladies and Men as well as for all 'junior' age groups, the adult events being played after 6pm weekdays to tie in with work commitments. 

Entry closing date coming up soon so get your entry in before Friday 12 July.

Lincolnshire's 12U county cup girls played at Corby over the weekend of 29/30 June against teams from Notts, Northants, Warks and Leics.

Lucy Hull, Pippa Bourne, Vic Beardsley and Chloe Robinson represented Lincolnshire in Group A of the competition, receiving training from Team Manager Laura White and Faye Button.


This year Lincolnshire were represented by the strong squad of Otto Jawahir, Jake Holt, Euan Baker and Cavan Stephenson over the weekend of 29/30 June at Kings Park, Northampton playing county teams from Notts, Northants, Warwickshire and Leicestershire. Team Manager was Jason Revill.

Lincolnshire had its very own tournament over the Wimbledon Championships weekend of 6th and 7th July - the County final to determine who takes part in the Road to Wimbledon National 14U Challenge 2013 to be held at the All England Lawn Tennis Club, Wimbledon 12 - 17 August 2013.

Murray Mania is sweeping the country and to celebrate, Grantham Tennis Club is holding an open day at it's Arnoldfield site this coming Saturday 13th July between 2-4pm.

Having fun at the Games

Tens of thousands of budding young tennis players are picking up a racket and playing competitive tennis as part of the nationwide Sainsbury’s School Games Level 3 Festivals this month. 

There are 46 county festivals taking place across the country over the summer and more than 25,000 primary school pupils are taking part in the schools tennis competitions.

Wimbledon winner Andy Murray will appear in the 75th anniversary issue of the Beano.

What an exciting week for tennis!!!! Its been Murray Mania all week at the tennis club.  After Andy's win at Wimbledon last Sunday the tennis club has been buzzing.  

We began the celebrations on Monday evening - chocolates for the children in their sessions and an open tennis evening with Pimms and Strawberries for the adults later.  

 Boston's Murraymania open day went down a treat with the new visitors to the club enjoying glorious weather and a fantastic atmosphere plus the chance to join in on the day and afterwards as members at a special 'Unbeatable Andy Murray membership offer. '

Grantham Tennis Club held a Schools Year 5 and 6 tennis festival on Wednesday 3 July in which eight local schools took part.

Congratulations to Tennis Buddies 16&U girls team - (Pictured Lydia Walker, Jessica Jackson, Katy Darke and Elizabeth Thomas with Captain & Coach David Williams) who played in the Aegon Team Tennis National Finals at The National Tennis Centre, Roehampton on the 20th & 21st July.

The girls played in a Regional League during April and May beating teams from Swansea, Stourbridge and Shrewsbury to reach the finals and put them into the top four 16&U girls teams in the country.

The team, who play at Bainland Park, Woodhall Spa, travelled to the NTC Friday afternoon for a team practice and were provided with free accommodation at Roehampton University with dinner Friday evening and breakfast. During their weekend at NTC they were able to watch courtside as top players such as Laura Robson and Jamie Murray put in some tennis practice.
