Do you have what it takes to be part of an exciting, dynamic coaching programme? If so read on, because this just might be the opportunity you are looking for.
We are looking for someone to work on our Coaching Programme, which consists mainly of Mini Players. We currently have over 220 children taking places on courses each week, and have a good group of performance kids in each colour. We also have a very strong school development programme, and in just one recent promotion, we have gained 25 children on to courses. We are the only LTA Aegon Performance Centre in Northants. The chosen candidate would work closely with our Performance Programme Manager and with our Tennis Development Office, and would report to the General Manager. Unlike many other indoor Centres, there is no coaching fee to be paid to the Centre and all coaching balls/equipment are provided free of charge.
We also have some LTA Future Star players etc, and strong links with Lancaster School for Boys at Knighton, as well as with a number of local clubs through our link with R2R Tennis.
We have a retainer available to cover time spent on various duties that includes the work required for the LTA accreditation, and a couple of other small activities like Talent ID and coach education for our team. This would only be available for someone with a suitable qualification.
We would instantly be able to offer around 10-12 hours a week of group coaching of various levels, and think you would pick up individual lessons once you are in place. This has potential to grow very quickly. We also have good relations with some of the local private schools where we do work. We would ideally be looking for our Coach to work Mon-Fri, with the potential to work at weekends if you wanted to, although all of this can be flexible.
