Jordan Parker from Kettering will be flying the flag for British tennis at the AEGON Junior International 16&U event in Roehampton this week.
The 15-year-old player will compete in the prestigious junior tennis tournament which attracts top players from all over Europe.
Jordan joins a group of talented British juniors competing at the Tennis Europe event at the Lawn Tennis Association’s (LTA) National Tennis Centre which runs from 27th March – 3rd April 2010. The youngster trains at Tennis Midlands International High Performance Centre and is part of the LTA’s AEGON FutureStars programme which recognizes and supports some of the best juniors in the country. .
More than 70 players from across Europe will compete in the AEGON Junior International, making it one of the most hotly contested junior events in its class. It is also a breeding ground for Britain’s best young players, including AEGON FutureStars, to learn their trade against strong and often experienced international opposition.
Entry is based on ranking and Jordan has earned his place at the event following a successful season on the court.

Competition is vitally important in developing both the tactical and mental competitive qualities the players need to have in place as they progress and develop."
The 18&U AEGON Junior International is contested in June and also attracts a strong field of national and international players.
