A nationwide recruitment drive is underway to create a Youth Group for British tennis, which will play a key role in getting more young adults playing tennis.

Jean Harker along with daughter Jeanie and Grandson Adham came to Forest Hall's official opening Saturday June 8, 2013 and shared her wonderful tennis stories.

Mary Glindon, MP, North Tyneside, David Mitchison from Sport England and Jo Cunliffe from the Lawn Tennis Association joined members and supporters for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the official opening of the new facilities at Forest Hall Community Tennis Club last Saturday 8th June.

Two volunteers from the North East Visually Impaired Tennis Club inspired a number of adults from Daybreak yesterday.

Tennis players in Newcastle have a great new opportunity to play friendly, competitive tennis this summer as the new Active Newcastle Tennis league launches in July.

Tennis truly is a sport for everyone and recent weeks has proved that.  Wendy Glasper and Rosie Pybus from the North East Visually Impaired Tennis Club ran a couple of events to inspire adults to pick up a racket and experience the game. 

Tennis truly is an all year round sport and the North East’s local schools competitions highlight this. 

Forty young tennis players, representing their Northumberland partnership areas, battled it out for Gold, June 28th.
