After the poor weather in August, Frome Selwood Tennis Club enjoyed the late September sunshine for its Finals Day - the culmination of a summer long Singles Tournament.
There were four matches: the Men`s and Ladies’ Singles and the Men`s and Ladies’ Plate Singles.
Head Coach, Chris Matthews, showed his experience in overcoming Oliver Leatham by 6-1 6-4 in the Men`s Singles whilst Abi Blanche Martin took the Ladies’ title by defeating Eve Bateman in a close fought match 7-5 6-3.
In the Plate Finals, Phil Ascott played Greg Bird winning 6-3 6-2 whilst Donna West defeated Lisa Elisabeth Ligi 6-1 6-4.
The Club has welcomed over 40 new members this year, six of whom were playing on Finals Day.
