Day 1 v Middlesex (Lost 7-2)
It was unfortunate we were unable to play Dan Evans on day 1 as he was suffering from a virus. All matches were very close particularly good performances from Jack Busby and David O’Leary, two of the youngest members of the team who will play important roles in the years to come.
Day 2 v Yorkshire (Lost 5-4)
Dan Evans was now fit to play, playing two excellent matches. Again all matches were very close, with good performances from David O’Leary and Jack Busby.
Day 3 v Essex (Lost 5-3, Dead Last Rubber)
All 3 days were extremely close, had we had Andrew Fitzpatrick (who was playing futures in Malaysia) we could have stayed or even won, having had a little luck on our side at Summer County week, however the luck was against us on this occasion and although the result was disappointing the team performed to their best ability.
