Children from 16 schools around the county played in the Sainsbury's School Games Tennis finals events at the Nottingham Tennis Centre on Friday 4th July.
Eight schools took part in the Year 3 & 4 finals which was played indoors on mini tennis courts. Lady Bay Primary (in main picture) retained their title as champions again, followed closely by Underwood Cof E in silver and Middleton Primary in bronze positions.
The Year 7 and 8 event was run for the first time this year - we were lucky with the weather as it stayed dry and fairly warm.
The eventual winners of the girls event was Nola and Sakhita McKenzie from Nottingham Academy, with Nottingham Girls High Schol in silver position and West Bridgford School in bronze. The boys event was won by Joe Cronin and Zak Towlson from Trinity Scool with West Bridgford School geetting the silver medals and Selston Academy the bronze.
