FPSS tennis team played their 2nd match in the league on Wednesday eveningaway at Langley Grammar School.
The four boys were prepared for tough matches but Robert Turff came off the court first with one 6 – 0 victory to Furze Platt and was closely followed by Charlie Pridmore and Oliver Okonkwo who also won their matches 6 – 0. Furze Platt only needed one more victory to win the leg but Lewis was still closely locked in his singles, trailing slightly at 4 – 5.
Charlie and Robert started their doubles match and came off court winning 6 –1. Meanwhile Lewis’ match continued and with the support from the others he had brought the score back to 5 –5 and then 6 – 5 ahead but at 6 – 6 the match went into a tie break set which Lewis won with some unbelievably good tennis at 10 – 8. Furze Platt also won the final doubles 6 –2 to give them their 2nd convincing 12 – 0 win.
