On Wednesday 2 July, Queen Anne’s U15 tennis team were officially awarded the Year 10 Division 1 Title after beating St. Mary’s Ascot in a nail biting counties final.
With the match levelled after both the singles and doubles matches had been played, Isabella Bowater and Georgina Evans played a doubles tie-break, narrowly winning 11-9 with some outstanding rallies and fantastic tactual decisions. The girls have played exceptionally well to claim this title beating many strong opposition along the way including Heathfield, The Abbey and Downe House, amongst others.
The U15 tennis team are now through to the county knockout stages in September when they will play against the other county champions for the honour of best U15 team in the country. A huge congratulations goes to Eliza McCreery, Kate Hillas, Isabella Bowater and Georgina Evans on this fantastic achievement.
