But for heavy rain on the last day Berkshire LTA could have been celebrating both teams getting promotion to Division 2 of the LTA Inter-County Week.
The 2 Teams had almost identical records losing on the first day but winning the rest. The Ladies confirmed their success with a single rubber needed on the last day against Yorkshire. Youngsters Alisha Reayer & Megan Forster made impressive debuts during the week.
Meanwhile the Men's team were looking forward to registering sufficient rubbers against bottom side East of Scotland to overtake Somerset but the rain intervened. Newcomers Sam Hutt and Jathan Malik have clearly added to the team's strength in depth which bodes well for the future.
