Play tennis in Christchurch Meadows this summer

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

Following on from the successful Great British Tennis Weekend that saw 80 local residents get on court at Christchurch Meadows further chances to learn to play are coming this summer.

In partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association, Reading Borough Council have set up a weekend coaching programme to teach residents to play tennis alongside the usual pay and play court offer on the site.

David Reeve, LTA Participation Manager said “the fact we saw 80 people want to play tennis during the Great British Tennis Weekend is an indication of desire for tennis in Reading. This programme gives Reading residents of all ages that have been inspired by tennis the chance to learn how to play in a fun and friendly atmosphere without membership costs.
