The 2014 Berkshire Road to Wimbledon took place this weekend (14th and 15th June) at Wargrave Tennis Club.
Players from clubs from all around Berkshire competed for their chance to play at Wimbledon during the summer! The boys event was wide up and the eventually winner, Ethan Chow (Caversham LTC) beat Arto Autio (Wargrave LTC) 6-2, 6-1.
Third place was Oscar Day (Greenacre) after he beat Satesh Mistry (Reading TC) 6-2, 6-2.
In the Girls event, Amy Longster will progress to the national finals at the famous grass courts of Wimbledon after a tough final against fellow Windsor LTC club member Diketso Karas, where Amy came out winner 4-2, 4-5 (3), 10-6
Midge Cox, the referee said "all matches were played a very high level and was great to see so many clubs across Berkshire represented at the Finals, and good luck to Ethan and Amy when they grace the courts of Wimbledon"
