U12 Girls Team
A big thank you to all the team for an outstanding result, by winning the group, and reaching the National Finals at Bolton on 13th & 14th July 2013.
Conditions for both days were sunny and windy.
Saturday we played Berkshire in the morning and in the afternoon Oxfordshire followed by the two doubles. Lauren dropping only 2 games, Erika 4 games and Emily 5 games on the first day. The match results speak for themselves.

The following day was a much stiffer test against Middlesex and Essex.
Lauren having lost the first two games in the match against Middlesex recovered to win 4-2, 4-1. Against Essex she comfortably won the first set 4-1, but the second set was a closer contest, Lauren winning 5-3.
Erika had another great day in her singles only losing 3 games in her two matches and remained consistent and focused throughout.
Emily having gained a 3 -0 advantage in her first match then lost her rhythm on her serve which affected her game and unfortunately lost her first match against Middlesex. In her second singles although losing the first set, rallied and the second set went to the tie-break, before losing 7-5.
After all the singles rubbers we were up 2-1 in both matches, so it all came down to the doubles with Lauren and Erika. The first 4 games against Middlesex were close, but they eventually won this 4-2. 4-1. The following match against Essex was a very decisive victory winning 4-0, 4-0.
A great team performance, the cool downs at the end of each day were interesting, a few stretches seemed to take a longer time than usual in between a lot of chatting.
On my way home on Sunday a black cat crossed my path, a lucky omen!! I hope so.
