June 2015

A tennis club has been served up a slice of national sports funding, which will net members £30,000 and allow them to improve facilities and court new members.

The Bucks 14&U Girls Team of Lauren Armstrong, Emily Honor, Sophie Ivansky, Isabelle Marshall, Darcey Roe and Emma Savage, Captained by John Cavill and Sub Captain Seb Callcut was 1 of 8 counties out of 32 that made it to the National finals in Nottingham on 15th-17th May.

Bucks travelled to Oxford Sports Tennis Club for the annual Aegon County Cup qualifying event on the weekend of 30/31 May. Annabel Flett made her County debut in a team buoyed by a more than respectable performance in the Lionel Cox inter-county event some weeks before.

Players from Tennis Works at Stony Stratford were in action again this weekend with some great results.

GXLTC held a fantastic Open Day on Sunday 14th June from 2pm to 5pm as part of the Great Tennis British Tennis weekend. With a great turn out of over 40 players most of whom had never been to the Club before.

Becoming a Tennis Leader will provide you with lots of skills, experience and knowledge that will help you when applying for courses, universities and even on your CV when you apply for your first job
