Bucks 14U Girls National Final

Tuesday, June 09, 2015

The Bucks 14&U Girls Team of Lauren Armstrong, Emily Honor, Sophie Ivansky, Isabelle Marshall, Darcey Roe and Emma Savage, Captained by John Cavill and Sub Captain Seb Callcut was 1 of 8 counties out of 32 that made it to the National finals in Nottingham on 15th-17th May.  It is the 2nd year in a row that the 14&U Bucks girls have made it to the finals.  Last year they finished 7th but this year they exceeded all expectations in the group stages.  After beating Sussex and Avon in match tie break shoot outs, they then lost 4-1 to Middlesex in the rubbers to finish 2nd in the group.  This meant they had qualified for the 3rd/4th place play off against Kent unfortunately they lost the tie 5-1.  So overall they finished 4th in the Country which is a fantastic achievement. Thank you to all parents for their support.

Bucks County 14&U Girls Captain, John Cavill, said, “What a journey this has been! I thought it was a tough ask to get to the National finals but to come 4th was exceptional. It is all down to the girls spirit and team work which enabled us to believe we could win each match and when the big points came, they did not disappoint. It’s been a wonderful experience for everyone involved and there are some very proud parents of what these girls have achieved.”
