GXLTC held a fantastic Open Day on Sunday 14th June from 2pm to 5pm as part of the Great Tennis British Tennis weekend. With a great turn out of over 40 players most of whom had never been to the Club before.
Twelve adults received free instruction from Tennace Coach Alex Allen on the brand new synthetic clay courts. Other adults played with their children or had free play on the great other surfaces available at the club.
The Mini Tennis 7&under players had free coaching from Tennace coach Peter Bresnen.
Other children were organised on the grass-courts by Head Pro Andy Scholfield who also organised the whole day.
Club Champion and Committee member Dave Sellers attended for some of the time to help with the generous family membership discounts available on the day.

The next event taking place at the club is an open doubles tournament on Sunday 21st June from 2pm for members, friends and visitors for players aged 14 &over. There is no need to bring a partner!
