Bucks 14U Girls Malvern County Cup
The Bucks 14U Girls Team of Lauren Armstrong, Emily Honor, Sophie Ivansky, Isabelle Marshall, Darcey Roe and Emma Savage were in action at the Aegon County Cup Regional Qualifier in Malvern on 2nd - 4th May. They won their first round against Hereford and Worcestershire 6-0. The second round saw them beat Shropshire 6-0. The final was against Warwickshire and the matches went to 3-3. It was all down to a championship tie break, the girls worked really hard and won 10-8. They have now qualified for the National finals in Nottingham this weekend (15th-17th May).
Bucks County 14&U Girls Captain, John Cavill, said, “The only reason we won the Regional Qualifier is because of our team spirit. The girls gelled really well together both on and off the court and as a captain this makes everything so much easier. I was very pleased with how the girls conducted themselves on the court, showed determination and held their nerve when the big points arrived. We are all looking forward to Nottingham this weekend where it is the second year in a row that we’ve made it to the National finals, which is a great achievement in itself.”
