The Mixed Knock Out Finals were held in glorious weather at Stoke Park Club on Sunday 2nd October 2011.
Congratulations to Halton and Magnolia Park who emerged winners of the Bucks Mixed Knock Out at Stoke Park yesterday afternoon.
The Halton team (Emily Quin, Tor Pisani, Ian Cast and Chris Evans) defeated Penn and Tylers Green (Katie Jackson, Amy Finnemore, Oliver Godwin and Sam Carey) winning the title for the tenth successive year. Congratulations also to Penn and Tylers Green appearing in the final for the first time and we look forward to their participation next season when the young team may be able to go one step further.
The Intermediate competition was a tough and close encounter with Magnolia Park (Philippa Worley, Karen Lynn Pinner, Alan and Richard Worley) defeating Stoke Poges (Triona Tierney, Finella Daywan, Alan Munro and Phil Clark) after a long and hard fought match in the unexpectedly hot conditions.
The sunshine attracted a large number of supporters which was greatly appreciated by the teams and our thanks as ever go to The Stoke Park Club for their generosity in hosting the finals and providing tea for players and spectators.
