US Open inspired competition at Wooburn Park!

Wooburn Park ran a highly successful US Open event on Saturday with 27 pairs of juniors and adult partners taking part.

The free LTA event pack was great providing small prizes and certificates and the day was lucky enough to get additional giveaways from United and American Airlines.

There was plenty of popcorn, cakes with USA decorations, coca cola and suitable stars and stripes bunting.

The 9 and under event was won by Finley and Darren Stenning and the runners up were Corey and Des Shanahan and Ellie and Taisa Lane. The 10 - 14 winners were Edward and Matt Hunt with Sam and David Hirst in second place.

Several adults were picking up racquets for the first time in several years so let us hope they  now feel inspired to give it another go!

Can't wait for January and the Aussie Open!
