At British Tennis Experience for Volunteers on Sunday Andy Trott presented the innovative partnership project Allplay Tennis in Southampton to the LTA field team staff, LTA main board and 100 plus County and Club volunteers from around the Country.
Allplay Tennis in Southampton is working to develop the sport in the City and take tennis to new people via innovative and sustainable ways, recently 20 plus new programmes, promotions and opportunities have been launched to help more people play tennis.
This cohesive way of working has already encouraged two new places to play to register with the LTA to enjoy the many benefits and begin to increase participation via new programmes for local people. St James’ Park will be awarded Beacon status in the coming weeks in recognition for their free and affordable tennis activities, this will be launched with AMB Tennis delivering Cardio Tennis, junior and adult coaching in the coming weeks, to find out more about these opportunities and more visit http://www.fosjp.org.uk/events.html or http://www.ambtennis.com/
Every club across the City is involved in creating new ways to help more people play tennis, not only tennis club, but parks, leisure centres and privately managed facilities are on board in attempt to support the development of this fantastic sport.
