Throughout May there have been some new taster sessions held at St James’ Park in Shirley, Southampton. Andy Brown from AMB Tennis has been working in partnership with Friends of St James’ Park and the LTA to create some new accessible coaching opportunities for local people all advertised on allplaytennis.com.
It all kicked off with some adult Cardio Tennis in the park at 9am on Sunday morning where there was already a queue for the courts. Those who took part enjoyed the session and the new programme launches in the coming weeks due to the interest shown.
AMB Tennis also ran some FREE coaching for local juniors in two sessions, one for Primary School children and one for Secondary School children. The coaching involved Mini Tennis and Cardio Tennis for the older guys and again the demand has led to plans for holiday coaching in the park.
