The Hampshire and IOW Men’s County Cup team successfully stayed in Division 3. They played from Friday 22nd November-Sunday 24th November at David Lloyd Southampton.
The Team was: Karim Aouichaoui, Samm Butler, Charlie Dryden, David Gaterell, Josh Girling, Josh Gook, Miles McDowall, Cem Ortel, Paul Scullard, Jamie Taylor
We did well last year winning Division 4 to go up to Division 3 and, missing a large amount of players away in America, our aim was to stay in a very strong Division 3.
Having lost the first two days vs Dorset and Cheshire, we had to beat Suffolk on the last day to stay.
A great team effort in the morning winning 5-1 after the singles was enough to get the result. Great singles wins on the last day by Karim, Josh Girling, Josh Gook, Miles and Samm at number 1 against a good spirited Suffolk meant we did what we aimed for, Division 3 for 2014.
