On Sunday 3rd November 2013, David Lloyd Southampton hosted a LTA leaders course which was delivered for young and aspiring tennis coaching assistants.
The course was delivered by Mike Booth and Sam Cummings who currently coach on the David Lloyd program and they both have a wealth of coaching experience in mini tennis and performance coaching.
There were 20 teenagers who attended the day, all coming from Hampshire and Dorset and we hope that they can use the experience and information on the course to help deliver good sessions back at their clubs.
The course was sectioned off into two modules which included "The introduction to tennis" and "Leading a practice session".
We hope that we can deliver more of these courses at David Lloyd in the future to help these teenagers and clubs around the region.
