April was home to two major junior ITF events. The grade 4 AEGON Junior Internationals in Nottingham took place in consecutive weeks in April.
Impressively the Hertfordshire junior player Katy Dunne claimed the titles of both tournaments in succession and dropped only two sets in the process, across 12 matches.
The 15 year old also performed admirably in 2009, finishing as runner-up in the 14U AEGON British Junior Nationals last summer and reaching the quarter-finals of the 16U event.
Her recent hard work has resulted in significant improvements to her game and some excellent results, particularly in the last month, and she is therefore undoubtedly the AEGON Junior Player of the Month for April.
