The IOMLTA Island Games squad will be holding a Race Night at the club on Friday 14th June and I hope a lot of our members will support this event. More details next week but as six Albany members are in the nine player Island Games tennis squad it would be good to see you support their fundraising. The trip to Gibraltar has proved to be quite expensive with most competitors staying in hotels, whereas in the last Gibraltar Games we all stayed in the ex-army barracks, which was cheap and great fun. The contact for this event is the Snidal family and our members selected are: Hannah Snidal, Elena Snidal, Laura Feely, Katie Harris, Sean Drewry and Rob Comber. I’m sure we all wish them good luck and hope they bring back lots of medals!

Last week the IOMLTA summer league matches were plagued by rain, with only three Albany matches completed. In Women’s Division 1 our women’s A team drew 3-3 with Castletown A.
In the Men’s Division 2 our B team drew 3-3 with Douglas B but in the Men’s Division 3 Albany C beat Douglas C 4-2.
