A new format was introduced this year to encourage more schools around the county to enter the Annual Doubles Championships. The competition started on Friday 21st March with two qualifying events, one being held in Canterbury and one in Bromley. With an entry of 116 pairs we needed to get down to 8 in each event, so the competition was fierce.
On Friday 13th June the 32 pairs of boys & girls who qualified arrived at Bromley Tennis Centre for the Finals of the Kent Secondary Schools Doubles Championships 2014.
Throughout the morning there were many close matches and some fantastic tennis being played. The players all thoroughly enjoyed themselves playing both indoors and also outside in the lovely sunshine.
