Desford Parish Council has lodged plans for a new floodlit tennis court on the sports field off Peckleton Lane.
The council wants to construct the court between the lane and the existing courts at the Sport in Desford site.
The council also wants to erect a fence around the court.
An application has been submitted to Hinckley and Bosworth borough council.
