Six districts of Leicestershire sent schools to represent them in the Year 7/8 Schools Tennis final which was held at Knighton Tennis Centre.
The event ran in two stages - with two round robin boxes, followed by a knockout stage. Clear favourites from the outset were Lancaster/ Sir Jonathan North and Market Bosworth and after the round robin stage they met in the final. After the singles matches, Lancaster/ Sir Jonathan North were 3-1 up and so it was all to play for in the doubles. Both matches were really close making the competition exciting right to the end, with Lancaster/Sir Jonathan North just winning both doubles giving them a comprehensive win.
Congratulations to everyone and a special mention to Casterton for winning the Fair Play Award.
