PPM wanted at LTA Aegon Performance Centre
Are you looking for a new challenge for 2014? If so, the Corby Tennis Centre is looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic Performance Programme Manager to continue the good work that has been taking place for the past 4 years. Following the tragic passing of our former PPM, this would be an ideal position for someone with experience of working with performance minis, but possibly looking for their first Performance Centre leading role.
We are a 14 court facility, with 8 indoor and 6 outdoor courts. We have LTA Performance Accreditation, Clubmark and most recently Tennis Foundation Places to Play status. The Management Team is headed up by Registered Professional Craig Haworth, and we are looking for someone to drive our Performance Programme. The candidate should ideally be of Level 4 Performance standard, although a strong Level 3 with Performance experience would be considered.
The position would be to start as soon as possible. Work would be on a self-employed status. We have a comprehensive Schools Development Programme with links to local primary schools, which feeds into our Talent ID Programme.
Remuneration/retainer to be discussed at interview, although we would hope to start the new position with approximately 20 hours (50/50 mix of groups and individuals). The hourly group rate offered would be in the region of £25 per hour for Performance Groups, and the individual lesson rate of £25 p/h would be advised. It would be expected for the PPM to quickly attain 30-40 hours of coaching per week if required. Some of the duties of our Performance Programme Manager include:-
- Mini Tennis syllabus production & consistent delivery
- Effective Player Management Processes
- Ensure quality of coaching process in Mini Tennis Performance sessions
- Training and monitoring of coaching team
- Involvement in Talent ID selection Days.
