Josh Goddard of Wortham Tennis Club was nominated for the Young Volunteer Award by Club Chairman Julia Waters and, out of hundreds of nominations from around the country, he was selected by the LTA as the 2012 winner. The Awards event took place on 5th November at the ATP Masters Tournament at the 02. After a chat with Roger Draper, Chief Executive of the LTA Josh received his award from LTA President Peter Bretherton. Josh was the first person at the ceremony to receive his award – the last was Andy Murray. How often will we have a Wortham Tennis Club member on the same award list as a Grand Slam winner?
