The Scholarship is financed mainly from members’ contributions, under the management of a separate board of trustees. The main aim of the Scholarship is to guide and coach young people from within the local community who could not otherwise have the chance to access all that membership at Wentworth has to offer. A Scholarship can help a youngster live their dreams and become a professional, or capitalise upon a wonderful, life-enhancing opportunity in a world-class environment. Once enrolled in the programme they receive free membership, guidance from professional coaches, tuition and support
Golf Scholarship
This gives a boy or girl aged from 10 years an opportunity to be part of one of the best Junior Golf sections in the country. They are available to those preferably living in the local area and whose parents are not members of Wentworth. Once enrolled in the programme they receive membership, guidance from professional coaches, tuition and support. The Club has a super track record in identifying talent at an early age and helping it to mature. Amongst its ex-Scholars are Wentworth’s European Tour Pro Ross Fisher.
Tennis Scholarship
Wentworth’s tennis Scholarship fosters sporting excellence and nurtures the young talent at the Club. They are available to boys and girls aged from 8 years, preferably living in the local area and whose parents are not members of Wentworth. Five of our former Scholars have turned professional.
There are only ever a limited number of Golf and Tennis Scholarship spaces at any one time and applications should be forwarded via a Contact Us form. Currently we are recruiting for Tennis Scholars – please see the link below.
