Sophie Drakeford-Lewis had an impressive win recently in the 14u Aegon Winter Series beating Jodie Burrage in the Final 6-3 6-4 at LTA Headquarters.
Prizes were presented by Chris Wilkinson-a previous British No.1- & Helen Sheesby, the latter a winner of the event some years ago.
Meanwhile Berkshire 18u Girls are getting prepared for their LTA County championship at Shrewsbury in a couple of weeks’ time. The team will be led by Hannah Brett (Wintennis), Chloe Lant (Maidenhead) & Olivia Dawkins (Millfield) with younger players including Alisha Reayer (Bradfield) & Megan Forster (Wintennis) to gain experience in a team environment.
Unfortunately Sophie Drakeford- Lewis cannot make it as she is demonstrating her versatility by appearing in a key netball match the same week-end.
