Job Description:
GDT are looking for someone to join our team as Head Coach at Wargrave tennis club, Berkshire. This is an exciting full-time opportunity, with 35- 40 hours a week minimum.
Venue Overview:
Wargrave Tennis Club has excellent playing facilities and boasts 8 superb floodlit macadam courts. The club currently has over 350 members and over 150 players in coaching every week. Job Specification:
The position is a self-employed role in which you will engage with the GDT management team and club committee to deliver a comprehensive junior and adult programme and promote membership at the club.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a full junior and adult coaching programme for all ages & abilities.
- Liaise on a regular basis with the GDT office where necessary (Office is managed 40 hours per week)
- Establish quality school links, raise awareness in the local community and attract new members.
- Assist Wargrave tennis club in continuing to develop an active club environment.
- Attend the Club’s regular committee meetings and Annual General Meeting, to report on coaching activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum LTA Level 3 qualified.
- LTA Licensed or Registered with Current DBS & First Aid Certificate.
- Record of attendance on an appropriate Safe Guarding & Protecting Children Course.
Personal Skills:
- Self-motivated and able to manage & develop others.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Ability to use Word, Excel and show good all round Computer Skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Have experience of working as part of a team.
