Autumn League 2011 – 12 Report

We launched the inaugural Autumn League (formally known as the Kent Junior Winter League) back in September 2011. The league itself ran between September–December 2011 with the finals being held between February–March 2012 (maybe need to revise the name!).

Level 1 and 2 Coaching Courses

Kent Leaderboard Finals

On Sunday 18^th March (Mother’s Day!), 32 of our best 9 & Under and 10 & Under players in Kent all competed for the honour of being the County Leaderboard Champion in their age group.

Dartford prepares for summer tennis as David Lloyd Dartford hosts workshop

Tennis officials from Kent have been gearing up for the British summer season by attending a Competition Organiser and Referee Workshop at David Lloyd Dartford this week.

KENT WINTER RED (8&Under) COUNTY CLOSED EVENT

On Saturday 24^th March, 61 8&under players from across Kent descended upon Bromley Tennis Centre to participate in the Kent Winter Red County Closed Event.

It was an afternoon of fantastic tennis with a number of closely contested matches. 47 boys competed in 12 round robin boxes, with the winners of the boxes and the next 4 highest placed going into a 16-player compass draw. Those not lucky enough to get through went into a fun doubles tournament. The 14 girls participated in 4 round robin boxes with the winners and runners-up of each box going into a compass draw and the remaining girls went into a further draw to keep everyone playing more tennis.
