This May, Taunton Tennis Club is celebrating National Mini Tennis Month by welcoming the public to the courts of the Blackbrook Pavilion Sports Centre for a day of family fun.
National Mini Tennis Month has already begun nationwide after the LTA launched the event on the 22nd April. Over a three-and-a-half-week period, clubs up and down the UK are running a variety of tennis-taster sessions for local families to participate in, free of charge.
On Saturday 10th May, Taunton Tennis Club will be running their own event on the indoor courts of the Blackbrook Pavilion Sports Centre. The event will see participants involved in two hours of mini-tennis-based fun designed to show families and parents how easy it is to play tennis with their children as well as showcasing the benefits that Mini Tennis has to offer.
The event will run from 9 am – 11 am and like all others across the country it will look to promote tennis as a family sport. Parents will also have the opportunity to receive special activity cards that will help encourage their children to continue playing as they develop and mature.
