As a result of our recent Club Survey, SLTA will be hosting a workshop on -
"HOW TO GROW YOUR MEMBERSHIP BY BEING WELCOMING AND PROVIDING GREAT EXPERIENCES" and "HOW TO RAISE YOUR CLUB'S PROFILE IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY"
Many tennis clubs are experiencing a decline in membership, particularly amongst adults doing recreational sport. The competition for people's shrinking leisure time and money has never been stronger with many new sports providers coming on the market.
Tennis Clubs must become more innovative and flexible and place greater emphasis on customer service if they are to grow.
Being welcoming is about developing and maintaining a culture where everybody talks to each other, be they long-standing members, newcomers or guests. Where different people with different needs all feel they are being looked after and where members, parents, supporters, staff and volunteers are all focusing on creating great sporting experiences.
The workshop will be facilitated by professional Sports Marketer, Svend Elkjaer, and will be held on MONDAY 27th JANUARY 2014 at 7.00pm (finishing at 9.30pm) at the Ipswich Sports Club, Henley Road, Ipswich IP1 4NJ. A LIGHT FINGER BUFFET WILL BE PROVIDED FROM 6.30pm ONWARDS.
This is a unique opportunity to share Svend's vast knowledge and experiences in developing your club.
