The Ipswich Sports Club held two successful Open Days in May, and they are now inviting tennis players and enthusiasts to “High Tea at Ipswich Sports Club” on Sunday 22nd June from 10am to 3pm for a very special event. A charity tournament is being played in memory of Elena Baltacha or “Bally” as she was known. The proceeds will go to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, linking up with national events such as Queen’s and Birmingham.

Players enter individually for this highly worthwhile event, just £15-00 including a strawberries and cream tea on the lawn, with prizes for winners and the best YELLOW outfit. For non-players there will be a charge for high tea on the lawn of £5-00 for adults and £3-00 for children, but please let Tip Flory know at the club asap. You could also have a chance of winning a Thai Dinner or Lunch for 4 at your home cooked by “Tip Thai Cuisine”, as £10 will purchase you a lucky dip envelope, with the winners to be announced on the day.
