The Suffolk Lawn Tennis Association are delighted to have the National Fostering Agency on board. Their Recruitment Officer, David Rimmer, has been working with a number of community-based event organisers to raise awareness of the shortage of foster carers in Suffolk. He comments, "We are much looking forward to the National Fostering Agency Easter Tennis Tournament, which has been created to give people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to play in a tournament environment."
A good entry was received, with the winners of the Boys' and Girls' events (aged 8 to 12) having a master class with British number one, Elena Baltacha, who regularly trains at the Ipswich Sports Club. There will be Grade 3 Open Singles and Doubles events, together with the usual age-group Singles and Doubles competitions for all to enjoy. Some of the 14 Unders no doubt competed at Easton last weekend, when our Boys were victorious and the Girls came 3rd.
