Avon County LTA is inviting all young tennis players in the county to enter this year;'s County Championships, which takes place at Coombe Dingle Sports Complex from Tuesday 26th to Saturday 30th August.
Referee, Maggie Tyrrell commented: “The Avon County Championships are a great opportunity for all the young players in the County to meet up and compete locally. Every County runs it’s Championship event in the last week in August so it’s not only a good competitive experience at the end of the Summer season but it’s a chance to catch up with tennis friends in the area and have some fun. Everyone who enters should get some good matches whatever their standard as we run main draw and consolation events in all the age groups. I’d encourage every mini and junior player in the County to enter as it’s a chance to experience a big tournament in a friendly local environment.”
The County Championships take place across all counties in Great Britain during the last week of August to provide competitive opportunities for mini, junior and adult players and the opportunity to earn Grade 3 ranking points. They are a festival of tennis and anyone can enter whether you consider yourself to be a club, park, school or county player there is something for everyone. These tournaments will offer singles and doubles matches plus some great fun and social events.
