One of Ipswich’s oldest established tennis clubs is on the move again. Roundwood’s lst Mixed Team in Division 1 of the Felixstowe, Ipswich + District Floodlit League enjoyed an undefeated season. This is a remarkable achievement from a small number of committed players, who beat the likes of Ipswich, Felixstowe, Adastral Park, St.John’s and Kesgrave.
All of Roundwood’s Men’s teams also had very successful seasons, with the club also able to field a Ladies’ team, which has not happened for a while. All in all, the teams punched above their weight, and hopefully this is the beginning of a change in fortunes and Roundwood will once again become a force to be reckoned with.
