Its been a busy time for Sportivate in Suffolk as more people are using the funding to help deliver on the Olympic Legacy and get 14-25yr olds involved in sport and physical activity. Some of the highlights are as follows:
* Suffolk exceeds 4,800 sign ups and achieves 4 year target
* Over 430 projects successfully delivered, receiving £150,000 worth of funding
* 83 partners receive funding to deliver a Sportivate project (includes sports clubs, NGB's, charities, leisure centres, colleges, etc)
* Winners of the National Award for Project & Participant of the Year 2013
Due to these facts and the number of innovative projects that many of you are delivering, Suffolk Sport has received an EXTRA £25,000 worth of funding to support more projects between October and the end of March 2014.
Although ALL applications will assessed against Sportivate criteria, focus remains on 18-25 year olds and ADDITIONAL FUNDING to engage and retain this age group will be considered. This could include additional marketing costs, subsidised training, providing incentives such as subsidised membership, free T shirt etc. For more information on this or for an informal discussion please feel free to contact me on the details below.
