Veteran’s Men’s Captain Keith Flewitt has announced there will be trials for Suffolk Men on Sunday, February 10th, with 3 courts booked at the Ipswich Sports Club, Henley Road, from 10am to 2pm. Although Keith has created great interest and activity for veteran players, with 7 county teams in action, he is appealing to club to give this opportunity to players at their clubs, adding to the large base of players that has already been built up.
Teams will be fielded at 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70 Over, and new for this season, 75 and Over level, due to a keen number of competitors in this age-group who have travelled the length and breadth of the country over recent years. Those interested should contact Keith Flewitt on 01473- 720252 , when they can discuss particular times of arrival to play during the day. There will be an opportunity to talk to the various captains , to find out exactly what is involved. One thing is for sure – veterans’ tennis is booming in Suffolk, and there will be plenty of great tennis guaranteed !!
