This weekend is an important one for our top junior players, when both our leading 18U Girls and Boys compete in the nationwide Aegon Junior Inter-County Cup competition. Our boys, missing the experience of Matt Kirby and Myles Orton, make the short journey to Easton College, Norfolk, where they take on the host county together with Northumberland and Derbyshire in Group 4B. A young team will be managed by Men's County Captain Jeremy Cowley, and the following squad will gain invaluable experience : Ryan Lambert, Sam Sheldrake, Paul Midgley, Robert Camplin, Rohan Abel, Darren Kappala-Ramsamy, and Henry Arrell.
Our 18U Girls' side, in the capable hands of Simon Harper and Sheelagh Watts, make the long flight to Scotland, where they compete in Group 6B at Prestwick against North Wales and the South of Scotland. Again, a talented squad of young players will be hoping to perform well against strong opposition, and the following will be keeping the Suffolk flag flying : Maddy Jones, Lydia Green, Storm and Troy Baxter, Ellie Stevens, Kitty McWhirter, Francesca Ridley and Ella Monsey.
